Held at Oaklands Event Centre, Pambula, the party will raise funds for the Bega Oncology Unit and Pink Link.
Event organiser Glenn Cotter said the night will feature Shadoogie, who is performing in conjunction with the Sapphire Coast Rock ‘n’ Roll, as well as raffles and a silent auction.
“We started fundraising about five years ago with the Pambula Bike Show, and through that, along with the Pink and Black events that we started in 2012, we’ve been able to put $7000 into the Bega Oncology Unit and Pink Link,” Mr Cotter said.
Mr Cotter started fundraising after his wife Donna was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011.
“We have seen first-hand how lucky we are to have Bega Oncology in the area – it meant most of Donna’s treatment could occur locally.
“However we also saw that the hospitals do it extremely hard.
“The volunteers do it all – the sandwiches they give the patients are paid for out of their own pockets, all the furniture is donated...yet they provide a phenomenal support network.
“Pink Link also does an amazing job supporting those recovering from cancer,” he said.
Mr Cotter now volunteers with the Cancer Council a few days a week and his motorcycle group does several fundraising rides per year and helps out on Pink Ribbon Day and Daffodil Day.
“People respond to seeing big hairy bikers in pink T-shirts – it’s all a bit of fun,” he said.
Tickets to the Pink and Black Rock n Roll Party cost $45 per head and include 10 courses of cocktail food.
