Incoming president Alex Nicol will head up the financial side of the club, while vice-presidents Justin Welsford and Matt Fleet will coordinate the senior and junior football grades.
“The deal is that each of those blokes will get a sub-committee around them that will be responsible for managing those game days,” Nicol said.
The year will aim at consolidating the efforts from last season, both on the field and off.
“We’ve already set ourselves some tasks,” Nicol said.
“The senior side has to go one better and we’d like to win a flag at some time.
“We need to get the kids to an Auskick round at an AFL match and we want to be financially stable at the end of the year.”
The club has already ticked off one task, with the juniors scheduled to play in April during a Melbourne v Western Sydney game in Canberra.
The club was invited to take part in an under 11s SCAFL competition, but opted out to continue up-skilling junior players.
“Young father Travis Broughton has taken over the babies - he has a background in teaching and devised a three-skill rotation with two other parents,” Nicol said.
Across all grades the club will look at improving skills as it endeavours to take on long-standing clubs.
“What we’re all about this year is skills,” Nicol said.
However, the club is also eager to continue its “investment in the community” praising support from charity events like last year’s prostate cancer awareness night.
The club is in negotiations for a senior coach and is excited to make the announcement once the position has been finalised.
Preparations are also underway for other club activities in the coming season and will be announced in the new year.
