Organisers were delighted with the event, which had over 20 take part in glorious conditions.
A number of talented regional golfers took part and showed their prowess on the course.
Overall boys and girls winners were respectively Bermagui’s Jackson Hearn and Casey Cook from Tura Beach.
The duo shot an excellent round to pip the competition on the day and take the honours.
The club thanked Wayne Ubrihien and his team of helpers for organising the event and arranging sponsors for the day.
The open was in stark contrast to regular golfing days, which were again hindered by poor weather.
Last Thursday’s play was cancelled, with the wet conditions of the course.
However, conditions had cleared by Saturday for the ham and turkey Christmas day.
The winning trio was Peter and Nick Newton and Tim Collins.
Runners-up were Col Murphy, Dave Hancock with Glenn Boyd.
Nearest the pins were won by Howard Blacker, Rodney Legge, Mal Watson, Rob Whitford, Terry Allan, Simon Owens, Gavin Parberry, Gerry Tarlinton, Will Ubrihien and Len Brown.
Laurie Billman won the golden shot.
The club thanked the sponsors of the event for their generous support.
Tomorrow will see the deferred monthly medal event take to the course as well as the medal of medals play off.
The mixed foursomes championship is scheduled to play on Sunday, so grab a partner for a fun day out.
