Ms Corby impressed the three judges during her interview, as did Tailem Brown, who was named Junior Showgirl.
Other contestants who will represent the region at the Cobargo Show in February are Alicia Bate and Sarah Alderton.
Showgirl judging took place on Saturday afternoon before the Cobargo Show Society held its Christmas party and barbecue at the showground.
Ms Corby is a member of the Cobargo Show Society as well as the Candelo Show Society and also volunteers with the Cobargo Rural Fire Service.
She works at the Bega Valley Shire Council as a cadet town planner.
Ms Corby was the Cobargo Showgirl previously, in 2012, and last year was selected as a Youth in Ag ambassador for the Sydney Royal Easter Show (BDN, 19/3/13).
Tailem, 15, is a student at Narooma High School and heavily involved in breaking in and showing cattle.
She has also ranked highly in junior judging competitions at regional shows.
Both Ms Corby and Tailem will be wonderful ambassadors for the region’s rural sector at the Cobargo Show, while Ms Corby will also represent Cobargo at zone level in The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl competition.
The 2015 Cobargo Show will be held on February 14-15.
