Year 10 adviser Jennie Smith gave the introductions and Merindah Thomas and Nadine McLucas gave the welcome to country.
Relieving principal Linda Thurston said that Bega High School prepared students to become life-long learners.
Ms Smith said Year 10 students had matured beyond what “we would have expected” and it had been “a fantastic year with students driven to do their best.”
Year 8 adviser Mark Hopkins was ill and his place was taken by head teacher student welfare Mark Freedman.
A special presentation, the ADF Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork award, was made by Chaplain Andrew Watters RAN to Julien Comer-Kleine.
Year 8 musical items were Pumped Up Kicks from Dermot Cooper, Kyle Britten, Aden Lord and Aaron Smith on drums/guitar/bass and vocals and Little Talks from Ellie Parker, Libby Gowing and Samantha Barnes.
Year 10 musical items were You and Your Heart by Jack Johnson, performed by Tim Francis and Caelan Dixon, Far From the Home I Love from Fiddler on the Roof sung and played by Alice Cleveley and Rumour Has It by Jazmyn Carter, Annie Fitzer, Natalie Alcock-White, Abbee Hausfeld-Suffern and Cellestine Janiola.
