Leoda Lloyd and Tayla Wilson gave the welcome to country and Year 7 adviser Brenda Montgomery the welcome to the official guests.
Ms Montgomery said students were encouraged to do their best and strive for excellence.
Relieving principal Linda Thurston outlined the school's activities throughout the year and its participation in the community.
Year 9 adviser Scott Harris said there had been challenges but the students had accepted the responsibilities placed on them.
Musical items were given by Year 7 student Ella Spurling who played guitar and sang Tee Shirt by Birdy and an original Year 7 composition medley with Janet King, Alice Stewart, Sarah Brens, Simone Blacka, Ruby Hodder, Tia Eder, Sophie Slade and Jorja Robbers.
The Year 9 musical item was Valerie with Chloe Harlow on guitar, and vocals Matilda Sutherland, Jessica Simpson and Juliette Bethell.
