About 40 people enjoyed some barefoot bowls at the Tathra Beach Country Club.
Before the celebrations, an ambitious group of 10 players went for a morning run on the beach.
Club spokesman Luke Taylor said it was hard to fit in a training run and even a party at this time of the year as everyone is busy with work and other Christmas events, but was delighted with the turnout.
“It was just a light run on the beach before the Christmas party,” Taylor said.
“It was nice to have a get together before Christmas to have a couple of beers and enjoy the day.
“We played some bowls and the kids got to meet Santa.”
When asked about returning players, Taylor remained tight-lipped.
“There was a few old boys there, but I’ve always said with new recruits or the old boys - they’re never back until they’re in the jumper,” Taylor said.
However, he is excited at the opportunity to mix some premiership winning veterans with the exciting new players from the club.
“I think with the young players we’ve got now it will be a really good mix.”
The club’s official pre-season training will begin on January 22.
The venue is yet to be determined and will be announced by new coach Ryan O’Loghlin closer to the date.
