As ladder leader, Tathra earned the right to host the one-day final at home and will look to its strong batting line-up to take on the in-form Knights roster.
The two clubs have only encountered each other once in the one-day series where Tathra won.
The match was a lacklustre affair in the scoring department as the Knights played out 38 overs for the meagre total of 69 runs.
In reply, Tathra used 23 overs to score 73 runs, but gave up six wickets in the process.
Rewind to last week and Adam Blacka single-handedly made 118, just three runs shy of besting the scores of both teams combined.
It has been a growing season for both clubs as Tathra has found the form, which saw it in two out of three finals last year.
The core of the Tathra line-up remains unchanged with a good mix of veteran and young players.
Bowlers Chris Dwyer and Lachlan Gordon are backed up by an impressive batting roster, including Ben O’Reilly, Blacka and Craig Nicholson.
Wheras Merimbula is a young team loaded with upcoming talent.
Dylan Jordan was last year’s leading run-scorer and team captain Wade Edmed is a dangerous all-rounder.
Eden has struggled this year and the Knights are emerging as a powerhouse team eager to take their spot on the totem pole.
The first final of the cricket season will be held at Lawrence Park, Tathra, tomorrow from 1pm.
