Then Lachlan Sims didn't last long as Tathra switched up its bowling tactics.
The middle order and tail end compiled a solid set of runs for the Bulls and a score of 197 looked easily defendable.
However, it took just four wickets and 27 overs for the Sea Eagles to run the target down.
It was a slow start for the Sea Eagles, but Adam Blacka went on to an unbeated 118-run haul at the crease and comfortably guided his side to the win.
