The event was sponsored by RichmondPRA, which provided funding for the canvasses and materials being used during the session.
Among the regular individuals who attend Tuesday’s session, including those who travel from Cooma WorkAbility, were members of the local community.
Many of the participants were wearing the beautiful aprons made last session and hand painted by them.
Well-known local artist Audrey Taylor volunteered her time and expertise at the last two sessions to help create these aprons.
Our Story, Our Place art sessions are held every second Tuesday from 1pm until 3pm in the WorkAbility basement and offer individuals an opportunity to express themselves artistically via many mediums.
In addition to encouraging and inspiring artistic expression, Our Story, Our Place also holds music sessions every second Wednesday with local musician Ricky Bloomfield, which have proved very popular.
All artwork and music created during these sessions will be exhibited on “Ability Day” on December 3 as part of WorkAbility’s celebration of International Day of People with Disability.
