We were treated to amazing hospitality from the host club under great blue skies and warm conditions.
Fishing was not so hot with tannin coloured water from the enormous amount of rain the previous week making conditions difficult.
Having said that, large bream to 1kg were caught, flathead over 60cm caught and released with salmon and tailor making up the species captured.
Narooma members won the Mystery Weight prize and also the Lucky Entry prize from the 50 fishos entered in the monthly competition.
Those who travelled the three hours to Mallacoota were, Larry and Lesley Lewis, Les and Sue Waldock, John Swinhoe, John and Chris Cathor, Rosalind and Graeme Cowley, Winston Zammit, Barry and Bev Wells, Bill Dudley, Lou Moore, Bernard and Arlene Jackson.
All agreed a great location, great hosts and a must to do again
Club member Mick Roberts took some time off and made a trip to Raratonga squeezing in a bit of fishing and his best fish was a 14kg dolphinfish.
Head down to the NSGFC club rooms on Riverside Drive next to The Inlet restaurant every Friday evening for some good company, cheap drinks and maybe some fishing stories!
