Manning said she couldn’t think of a better way to stay fit, while having fun.
“The event is all about women empowering women,” Manning said.
The event is a 5km obstacle course with mud, colour and foam cannons, which spray entrants before they reach the finish line.
Money raised goes to support a number of women’s charities including the McGrath Foundation, Breast Cancer Network Australia and White Ribbon.
Manning said she was delighted with the efforts of her squad after they completed the course as a team.
“It was lots and lots of fun,” Manning said.
“My group of girls are very aspiring and their dedication was amazing.
“We had plenty of laughs the full way through the five kilometres.”
Manning said her favourite part had been crawling through hundreds of metres of mud.
“Crawling through that was a highlight of the whole thing,” she said with a laugh.
A number of Far South Coast trainers entered teams and Manning said it was good to see the huge contingent of locals taking part.
Most of Manning’s large group travelled up ahead of time and made a “weekend of it” staying in Canberra.
“It was a great bonding opportunity even ahead of the event.”
But to answer the question on everyone’s mind, yes there were hot showers available.
Manning joked that the mud almost needed to be hosed off before hitting the showers though.
The team was then greeted by market stalls, entertainment and hot food at the end of the course.
