The club’s first race meeting of the year has attracted solid entries in a number of divisions and organisers are expecting a huge afternoon of lead-footed engine rumbling racing.
A highlight will be the return of the compact legend cars with a field of 20 signed up.
Drivers will take part in three heats, a 35-lap feature event and a top-10 shootout.
“It will be bigger than Bathurst,” a club spokesperson said.
The spokesperson described the legends cars as being “small and cute, but oh so mean”.
Club president Daryl Moon said he was excited to have the legends cars visit the speedway on their country racing calendar.
There will be a $1000 purse up for grabs, so the competition will be high.
The fan-favourite division will be well supported by a number of other classes at the track including the Aussie sixes, super production, karts and the roaring V8 super sedans.
The gates open at 2pm with racing getting underway from 4pm.
Entry is $15 with kids under 14 free.
Organisers said spectators will have excellent hillside viewing of the best country speedway track in NSW.
The canteen has been fully refurbished and the jumping castle will be on hand for the kids, so head along and support your local speedway.
Legend cars will be on display this week at Sapphire Marketplace, Bega and Beaurepaires.
