The weather was perfect and the band performed outside in the beautiful gardens.
This was a highlight for the residents and staff as they were astonished to hear such talented students and staff perform.
The residents recognised every song and were clapping along constantly enjoying the fine music.
The band performed songs such as Watermelon Man, Baby Elephant Walk, Funky Town, My Girl, Soul Bossa Nova, Thriller, Summer Nights and Lady Marmalade.
Teacher and oboe player Angela Brittain did a superb job as announcer and certainly connected with the audience.
At the end of the performance the residents demanded an encore!
At one stage the staff were all dancing at the rear of the audience.
They were an appreciative audience and enjoyed chatting with the students after the concert.
So much so, they have already booked the band for a return performance.
