At their recent season-opening party, the Tathra Surf Life Saving Club Nippers showed off their freshly painted and renovated changeroom and teaching space – complete with big-screen TV.
Tathra SLSC treasurer Fran Elliott said the club was also delighted to announce a successful grant application for $1200 from Telstra, which will be used to purchase three new Nipper boards.
“Many thanks to Peter Chapple from Telstra, who is also the parent of one of our Nippers, for applying for the funding for us,” Elliott said.
“We are very happy to share in the million dollars the Telstra Foundation provides each year to help kids across Australia connect to their local communities.”
The Nippers season begins in November.
