A spokesperson for CareFlight was unable to provide specific details but said CareFlight is called to the hospital for paediatric and newborn emergencies and patients are transferred to Westmead Children's Hospital in Sydney.
If called in, the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue helicopter usually moves patients from Bega Hospital to the Canberra Hospital after they are stablised by the medical team on board.
