ST JOHN’S Anglican Church in Bega hosted a breakfast for the graduating Year 12 Sapphire Coast Anglican College students.
Held on Thursday at the church, the invited students and their parents enjoyed a hearty meal before their graduation ceremony later that morning.
Church member Allen Collins estimated the breakfast to have been taking place annually for around the last eight years.
“We farewell them, then we get another batch next year,” Mr Collins said.
“We wish them all well.”
Head of senior school at the college Greg Thornton said the breakfast was a rite of passage for the students, to create a fond memory for them to recall.
“We are celebrating the Year 12 graduation,” he said.
“Four of them have been here for 13 years.”
