Dickinson Oval pavilion
Given its the same floor plan as the old one, it does seem way too high?? The old one wasn't a very big building. I know that Commercial buildings and residential are not the same, but when you look at kit and concept homes, $300,000 (half of this) will get you a two story luxury home with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms... the building they are building is only small and basic??

That seems expensive!!!

Hope it is an attractive building.

What should be done with Bega’s King’s Theatre?
As a kid there was nothing better than Kings Cimema on a Friday or Saturday night.Locals can walk to cinema, certainly beats a 50km round trip to Merimbula. Open it soon

It would be great to see it used for entertainment / arts rather than another unneeded retail space. Look at what the Four Winds have achieved for Bermagui. Bega needs this type of space

Was literally talking about this earlier, it would be such a good idea. The youth would have things to do instead of spending there money on alcohol.

Youth club once a week. Disco occasionally, old time dance occasionally, series of classes … sewing , knitting, woodwork, art classes. Run your most popular attended classes yearly. Intervals in the hols. Exciting prospects for the future.

Regions around us have entertainment centres whilst the shire procrastinates Bega is losing shows to other places and becoming and artistic backwater. I used to go to the movies there when I was a kid.

I can see Fling, Uni graduation ceremonies, cinema, music nights, community space, a fantastic idea if it can be pulled off somehow. Has a lot of history for a lot of people would be wonderful to have the space back... old facade steps and stairs included.

The Kinima in Narooma and the Milton Theatre are working well and built up good names as entertainment venues and attract world class performers... Why not Bega

Local Land Services forum
LLS, just like its predecessor, is a total government rort that does nothing for the thousands of landholders who pay substantial rates into its overstuffed coffers.

I had the privilege of working for John for a year while studying nursing at Bega campus. I learnt a great deal from John that benefits my nursing practice to this day. John was not always the easiest man to get along with: he knew how he wanted things done and would accept no argument, it was, I guess, a means by which he could control his world when so much of it was beyond his control. We had some wonderful discussions in our hours together, John has strong opinions on just about any subject you care to mention and would stand his ground. He was a remarkable man and it is a sad loss to Bega and to all of us that knew and loved him. God bless him and keep him.

Bega Refuge temporary closure
Somewhat contrary to Constance's assertion; "Let me be crystal clear – the refuges at Bega and Moruya for women and children will remain open"
Tony Quoll Hastings
How long is this "assessment" going to take? What exactly is being assessed? On the face of it it looks like a deplorable situation.
