Date always had a passion for music and has been involved in the performing arts from a young age.
Her soft, angelic, distinctly original-sounding vocals compliment her style – a mixture of indie/folk, alternative, blues, pop, with lots of heart and soul.
Some of her influences are Regina Spektor, Sarah Blasko, Dusty Springfield and Joni Mitchel.
From her strong, honest and passionate lyrics it is evident Date has been through a lot, but even so she manages to maintain a positive outlook with her music.
The South Coast songstress will tell you she is no great guitarist - however her self-taught distinctive playing complements her unique voice.
Preferring the more intimate gigs, Date plays at local hotels, cafes and clubs from Berry to the south.
Date said her greatest challenge is raising her two children and juggling children, work, music and nearing the completion of her Psychology degree, she certainly has her hands full.
Her main aim in life is to be a role model for her children, teaching them they can be and do anything they desire.
Her song Disgrace came in at number two on the Triple J Unearthed folk charts in November 2011, and while she is yet to release an album, it won't be far off.
You can listen to some of Date's music on Soundcloud, Triple J Unearthed as well as YouTube.
Date will be performing at the Bermagui Beach Hotel on Sunday from 4pm.
