The elimination final between the Tathra Sea Eagles and the Bega Bombers will be played at Lawrence Park, Tathra, from 2pm on Sunday.
Bega senior coach Matt Fleet said the club had been “dealt a bit of a blow” by the move to play on a Sunday, while Tathra coach Luke Taylor said it “might” impact his squad.
Meanwhile, the clash between the Bermagui Breakers and Merimbula Diggers will fill the regular Saturday timeslot.
The elimination final is Bega’s first senior showing in the SCAFL finals, while for Tathra it is a chance to advance towards a fifth consecutive premiership flag.
Taylor said his squad will be pumped up and ready for the game.
“Everyone find a new spring in their step when finals roll around,” he said.
“We are just trying to put our best foot forward now.”
Fleet was still deciding his team roster on Thursday, with a number of players having commitments to other codes.
“We will still have 20 blokes who wil be really committed,” Fleet said.
“I believe we can take it to Tathra and anything can happen with these Bega boys.”
Bega Valley Coaches has come on board and will run an 87-seat coach from the Bega Showground to Tathra on Sunday.
Fleet hoped to see a number of supporters join team members on the bus, which will leave at 11am from the Bega ground.
“Tickets are $5 for a return trip, with kids getting on for free,” Fleet said.
“There should be seats for about 30-40 people so come down to the Showground and you can head out to the games with the Bombers.
“If too many people show up we’ll deal with that on the day,” he said.
Entry to the Tathra ground will cost $10 and the main game starts at 2pm.
