The official Treasury figures reveal how bad it is (see graphic).
The poorest people are $844 per year worse off under Abbott and Hendy.
The richest are only $517 worse off.
This is reverse Robin Hood - rob the poor to pay the rich.
Eden-Monaro is one of the poorest electorates in the country and yet Peter Hendy, the Liberal Party MP who claims to represent us, is in the middle of the policy decision to rob the poor to give to the rich.
The people of Eden-Monaro therefore have no-one on their side in Canberra.
The last budget allowed $90million to search for the plane that may or may not have crashed into the Indian Ocean, at the same time as he was cutting a similar amount from the CSIRO budget.
Abbott has no shame - he would happily sacrifice a plank of Australia’s future for small change political advantage.
Hendy is a spear-carrier.
Virtually invisible in the electorate he betrays the people who made the mistake of voting for him.
Next time we vote, remember what we got with Hendy.
