Bega Valley Shire Council Mayor Bill Taylor held a reception last Wednesday to acknowledge the local athletes who are scholarship holders with the South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS).

The executive director of SERAS Garry Lane welcomed guests to the reception before providing an overview of the programs currently being offered by the academy.

Scholarship holders were then presented with a certificate by Cr Taylor, who acknowledged the support the athletes receive from their parents and confirming the ongoing support of the academy by Bega Valley Shire Council.
