A win would statistically knock the Lions and Eden out of contention.
Bega senior coach Matt Fleet expects the Lions will play with an intensity and desperation not yet seen by the Bombers.
“Narooma will come down here and have their Canberra blokes in, it’s really do or die for them,” Fleet said.
“If they can’t get over us they will be out.”
The Bombers senior squad is pumped for the challenge being the club’s first opportunity to play finals footy.
“They’re up and about looking towards the hitout with Narooma.
“If we win we’re guaranteed a spot in the finals, it just gives that little bit more of an effort out of them this week,” he said.
The Bombers are expecting a solid challenge as the Lions cling to finals chances, but Fleet said the Bega outfit is nearly at full-strength.
“We have a few back in this week, which is good for us.
“Todd Ingram, Mitch Bucholtz and Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers are all back in.”
With a few players out in previous clashes, a number of players have been turning up the heat.
“Scott Hay, Azza Wheatley and Nathan Carpenter are in devastating form,” Fleet said.
“And Chris Dwyer is a weapon, if he isn’t leading the league vote count, he has to be right up there.”
The club is urging everyone to head along tonight and enjoy a great game of Aussie rules.
Entry for tonight’s game is free and everyone is encouraged to attend to cheer on their team.
Full bar and canteen facilities will be available.
The Bombers are promising a good show.
“They’ll give it everything they’ve got and leave it all out there on the park,” Fleet said.
