The Far South Coast Hockey Association competition was split across two grounds on the weekend.
Some of the games were played at Candelo this week, with two games played simultaneously, not three, at Bega.
A number of teams hail from Candelo and a decision was made to play some matches on the Candelo fields.
The decision meant a quieter day for hockey fans in Bega, but Candelo locals were able to support their teams on the home ground.
Meanwhile, the headline games at Bega saw the Candelo men taking on the Magpies, while the A grade Grand Hotel played Elders.
The two games were closely fought with the men’s game resulting in a draw, while Grand Hotel edged out a win in their match.
The club said competition is heating up as rounds progress, and expects the competition leaders to start breaking away soon.
