As part of Law Week – and with a (grand)Mother’s Day theme – Sergeant Mayer read several “Nanna” stories to a group of eager children.
My Nanna is a Ninja and another story about pirates were particular favourites on the day.
Bega library children’s librarian Anne Moore said Sergeant Mayer was a regular visitor to Law Week story time, which “makes for great public relations between police and children”.
“It helps them become a bit more familiar with the police so they know who to turn to if they are lost or frightened,” Ms Moore said.
