Speedway president Greg Eastman said the club was excited to host a full round of the NSW/ACT Motor Racing championship.
“The championships are held at different tracks each year and always bring the best drivers and cars together to fight out for the title,” Eastman said.
In preparations for the event, the surface of the track has been entirely rebuilt.
“The track has had a major rebuild and the surface is the best it has been.
“All is set for a great day of speedway action,” he said.
To coincide with the championship the club has a full card of races across five divisions and a destruction derby after the races.
“Large fields of cars have entered in the running classes including super production, board fours, Aussie sixes, series production and V8 super sedans,” Eastman said.
“The demo derby will start when the racing is finished.”
Eastman said anyone wishing to enter a car in the derby had a little time left.
“There is still time to enter, and there is plenty of prize money on offer,” he said.
Eastman is urging everyone to head along and enjoy the action on the day.
“Racing starts from 2pm, the entry is only $15 per person and kids under 14 are free.
“We’ll have the free jumping castle back for the kids and full canteen facilities are available.
“Support your local track and enjoy a great day of racing at the Speedway,” he said.
