PHOTOS: Silent storm over Bega

BDN reader Raymond Toms snapped these incredible shots of a thunderstorm of which he believes most people in Bega may not have even been aware.

On Wednesday night, dark clouds gathered over the town, but with little to no rain falling and Raymond not hearing any thunder, the incredible light show passed under the radar.

“I took these about 9.30pm from Coopers Gully,” Raymond said.

“They’re not doctored, apart from a little extra contrast to reduce the flare from the Bega lights.

“I think they are unusual, in that the clouds were illuminated red rather than the usual white.”
