The Bega Showground was a hive of activity on Wednesday in the lead-up to the Show.
Sideshow ally operators were busy setting up rides and Bega AP&H Society members were making plans in the showground pavilion.
Everywhere you looked, someone was completing a task.
Society president Norm Pearce said final preparations were being made ahead of the three-day Show, which starts on Friday.
“I am pretty excited to see it all come together, for everything to happen that you’ve talked about,” Mr Pearce said.
“We try make the show different each year.”
New acts in 2014 include The Crackup Sisters comedy act and street theatre performers Shep Huntley and Lisa Heffernan.
Don’t miss the gnome competition, men’s chocolate cake class, old boots/old hats competition, maiden eye and exotic lamb classes, and categories for best presented pet fowl for the kids and pen of three Illawarra cows.
However, Mr Pearce said he is equally excited about the show’s traditional favourites, such as the Friday night fireworks display and Showtime FMX freestyle motocross show.
The 2014 Bega Show will be officially opened by River Cottage Australia presenter Paul West on Friday night.
Season tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for children, allowing unlimited access to the Bega Show over the three days.
Day tickets cost $15 for adults, $7.50 for children and $12 for senior cardholders.
