Bega’s Big Bash entrée

THE second Bendigo Big Bash unofficially began in Bega on Friday morning.

The Monarch Cricket Academy hosted a cricket clinic for juniors at George Griffin Oval, Bega.

The session was led by former Australian One-Day International player Mark Higgs, who runs the academy.

Higgs was supported by ACT Comets star batsman Michael Spaseski and Comets all-rounder Vele Dukoski.

Some of the participants also took part in a match at the adjacent Bega Athletics Field.

The session was a warm up for the Bendigo Bank Big Bash at George Griffin Oval, which will start at 5pm on Friday.

Everyone is invited to head along to the contest at 5pm.
