FAR South Coast detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man and woman at Candelo following the discovery of two bodies on Monday.

“Bega detectives have set up Strikeforce Darvell to investigate the deaths,” Detective Sergeant Justin Marks from Bega Police said.
“We are making a number of inquiries into the circumstances of their deaths although police are not treating the deaths as suspicious at this stage.
“We are making a number of inquiries in both NSW and interstate to assist us in ascertaining the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
“We are currently preparing a report for the Coroner.”
Detective Sergeant Marks confirmed police have established the identities of the pair, a 52-year-old woman and 53-year-old man.
“We are not releasing the names of the deceased yet as we do not believe all family members have been notified at this stage,” he said.
About 2.10pm on Monday, police were called to a shop in Candelo after reports of a man and a woman found deceased at the location.
Detective Sergeant Marks confirmed the pair were discovered in a residential premises at the rear of the Black Sheep Baa café.
The Black Sheep Baa was an eatery and music venue that opened in late August, but closed its doors in November.
After the discovery, a crime scene was established and was examined by specialist forensic officers.
