Ulysses event coordinator George Parker said members and friends started their run at the Bemboka Pie Shop and stopped at the Candelo Town Hall, Oaklands, Pambula, McDonald’s Merimbula and the Bega Cheese Heritage Centre before coming into Littleton Gardens for a barbecue provided by the Bega VRA.
He said all along the way they received terrific support from the community.
St Vinnies in Bega was chosen for Ulysses to support because all the funds raised and the toys collected will be distributed to families in the Bega Valley community.
Tony Hergenhan, St Vinnies’ conference president, thanked the members of the Ulysses Club for their generosity and said that many families in the Bega Valley would have a far happier Christmas because of their toy run.
