Tennis club president Rebecca Grenfell said everybody is welcome.
“Santa will be there for the kids and there will be a barbecue for a gold coin donation,” she said.
“Just bring a savoury or sweet plate to share.”
The Quaama Tennis Club was formed over 18 months ago to restore the disused tennis courts in the village.
“Currently, if our kids want to attend lessons or practice tennis, they have to travel to Bermagui,” Ms Grenfell said.
“Long-standing residents of Quaama and district report tennis competitions were a regular feature of village social life just a few decades ago.
“When we circulated expression of interest forms, they were returned with over 80 names, so it is loud and clear that contemporary Quaama residents are in favour of getting our tennis courts back in playing condition,” Ms Grenfell said.
The Quaama Tennis Club thanked all the local businesses, especially the small traders, which have generously donated prizes to the monster raffle, which offers 25 chances to win.
“Please support those who support Quaama,” Ms Grenfell said.
The major prizes are a handcrafted “Rob Eaton” queen size quilt valued at $1100 and a voucher for a family of six for three nights in a deluxe bungalow at Sapphire Valley Caravan Park valued at over $600.
Then take your pick from prizes totalling over $1000 donated from Betta Electrical, Sportspower, Bega Cheese, Finn’s Skate Shop, Bermagui Cellars, Tribal interiors, Lifestyle Boutique, Plevey’s Pharmacy, Priceline, Super Cheap Auto, Fletcher’s, Coles Supermarket, Dan Murphy’s, Liquorland, Tennis NSW and gift vouchers from Quaama General Store, Magpie Music and Auckland Finance.
Tickets will be on sale at the Christmas party right up until the draw.
