Ms Russell is a nurse at Bega’s Hillgrove House and said she had received plenty of support from her co-workers, residents, Bega District Nursing Home CEO Jim Butterworth and director of care Kathy Miller when they learnt of her family’s plight.
“We’ve had absolutely wonderful support from everyone,” Ms Russell said.
“Jim Butterworth has been great and we appreciate the nursing home for doing this for Judy,” Mr Russell added.
“We guarantee every cent is going to help Judy’s family.”
All prizes for the raffle have been donated by the nursing home, with the draw to take place on December 11 at a Christmas party for Hillgrove House’s residents.
Raffle tickets – as well as a donation collection box - are also available at Littleton Café, Bega.
