Mr Ewing headlined the Xplosion Launch Party, presented by Megabeetz Entertainment Group.
Mr Ewing, who plays bad boy Heath Braxton on Home and Away, mingled with local residents on the night.
Mr Ewing attended the party with his wife Marni.
Tathra Hotel general manager Derick Jason said the event was a huge success.
“It was un-bloody-real,” he said.
“We were packed out, we reached the pub’s capacity, which is about 400 people.
“It was phenomenal, I was pretty happy with it.”
Mr Jason had nothing but praise for Mr Ewing, saying he was “very approachable”.
“Dan is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, he is really friendly,” he said.
“I brought over drinks to his table and he got up, shook my hand, introduced himself and took the time out to say thanks for hosting him.”
Mr Ewing didn’t DJ on the night, with the beats instead spun by DJs Starry K, Elec Fro, Bobby Cross and Short Fuse.
Mr Jason said the hotel was negotiating with Megabeetz Entertainment Group to bring more celebrities to Tathra.
“We are negotiating for the cast from Geordie Shore, Big Brother and comedians and magicians,” he said.
“Our calendar is choc-a-bloc with entertainment coming up.”
Megabeetz Entertainment Group's Starr Kopa said the night at Tathra was massive.
"The attendees were very well behaved and Dan, his wife and his manager all were really impressed with the turnout and how the event was run," Mr Kopa said.
"Dan wants to come back again because of how much fun it was."
