EVERYONE is invited back to the Bega Swimming Pool.
After a delay start, pool managers Phil and Zoe Harris re-opened the gates today at 6am.
It was a chilly start to the 2013/14 season for more than 20 swimmers who turned up for training.
This morning, the pool temperature reached only 20.5 degrees celsius, but had risen to a more comfortable 22 degrees by early afternoon.
Ms Harris said she was excited to see the pool back open.
“It’s been really good,” she said.
“People have been rolling in, buying season tickets and having a swim.”
The Bega pool traditionally opens during the September school holidays, but this year’s launch was delayed due to upgrades.
The project included sanding the pool, re-painting and tweaking the filters.
