FIFTEEN gymnasts from Tathra and Bermagui travelled to Canberra to compete in state competitions recently.
Gymnastics instructor and organiser Ros Jubb said she couldn’t be happier with the performances of all the students who range from seven to 15-years-old.
“All [the] gymnasts performed very well,” Jubb said.
“They received certificates and gained medals.”
The level five gymnasts competed at Wanniassa, while the level one through four gymnasts competed at Belconnen.
Jubb said the women’s artistic gymnastics consisted of routines on the floor, bar, beam and vault.
She said the locals competed well and made for a fun competition for everyone who attended.
“Everyone had a great day,” Jubb said.
“We look forward to next year’s competitions.”
Jubb took the opportunity to thank all the local parents who had assisted in getting gymnasts to the events.
“Thanks to all the parents for their support and for transporting the children to Canberra,” she said.
