A WOMAN is being treated for serious facial injuries following an alleged domestic violence attack at Wallaga Lake overnight.
Police say they found an injured woman when they were called to Umbarra Rd around 3am Saturday.
The 36-year-old woman was taken to Bega Hospital and later transferred to Canberra Hospital, where she is being treated for fractures to the face and permanent loss of vision in her left eye.
It will be alleged the woman was struck in the face with a claw hammer.
Police from Far South Coast Local Area Command established a crime scene at the address, which is being examined by specialist forensic officers.
Following investigations, a 39-year-old man, believed to be the woman's partner, was arrested at Narooma Police Station about 8.50am.
He is assisting police with their inquiries.
