FRIENDS of Alan Mitchell have been out raising funds for the 20-year-old who remains unconscious at The Canberra Hospital.
Mr Mitchell, 20, fell and hit his head in the Littleton Gardens car park on the night of February 16.
He was rushed to the hospital in Canberra where friend Ainsley Kelly said he was moving a little bit but still has not regained consciousness.
“He is moving but is still asleep,” she said.
The friends of the young man who grew up in Bemboka have started a Facebook group entitled “Alan Mitchell Fund” with details about how people can donate and there is also now an account at the Commonwealth Bank.
There are also collection tins at stores throughout Bega.
The Facebook group page reads: “Al is suffering with a major head injury from a fall. Al and his family are going to be suffering with great income loss. During this time with costs of travel and accommodation etc. We are hoping to raise funds to take the pressure of his family during this hard time they are facing.”
