RON Webb of Jindabyne captured these dramatic photos of smoke from the Brogo bushfire while fishing at Wallaga Lake.
Mr Webb holidays at Wallaga Lake each year and was out on his boat Tuesday afternoon.
With a hint of a laugh, Mr Webb called himself a “high-end amateur” photographer and said he carries his Nikon D300S everywhere with him.
Being from Jindabyne a lot of his subjects involve mountains, bush and snow, but he is also a keen whale watcher during his visits to the coast.
“I had it in mind to take photos of the sun through the smoke and then a plane started dropping in to pick up water,” he said.
