Athena is trying really hard to get into the Christmas spirit but since her brothers Fred and Barney were re-homed, she has had no-one to play with.
Her Christmas wish will be to have a family of her own to care for her and give her the love and attention she deserves.
Also hoping that they might have new homes for Christmas are- Homer, a male tabby and white 11 week old kitten; Lizzie, a very affectionate nine week old female kitten; Sheila, an eight month old Blue Heeler cross; Chad, a two year old Pom cross Terrier and a 10 week old black Staffy cross pup.
All new owners will of course need secure fencing (or secure area for cats) and be able to provide suitable shelter.
Please phone Margaret after 6pm on 6492 7155 for further details.
The subsidised adoption fee is $150 for dogs, $180 for pups, $100 for cats and $120 for kittens.
This includes de-sexing, vaccination (c5 x2 for pups and x2 for kittens), micro-chipping and worming.
A fee of $35 ($15 for pensioners) is also payable to council for lifetime registration.
Be responsible and have your pets de-sexed. If you genuinely require financial assistance to have your cat or dog de-sexed and you live in the Bega Valley Shire, please phone Lois after 6pm on 6496 3433.
AWL does not receive any Government Funding and subsidies are provided through thefundraising efforts of local volunteers, donations and bequests.
Thank you to the friends of the Far South Coast Branch and a special thank you to Bega District News for their support in 2004.
Have a Merry Christmas.
