Trevor's farewell
Brogo Rural Fire Service brigade captain Trevor Reeves is leaving to take up a position as deputy fire control officer with the West Wyalong district.
Trevor, along with his wife Leonie and children Tom and Meg, will be sorely missed.
Trevor has been with brigade for eight years and captain for last four years.
He is also group north deputy captain.
As well as looking after the Brogo brigade he as done a lot of training for other brigades and his input to the Bega Valley Shire fire-fighting scene has been considerable.
The fact that Brogo now has four very good vehicles plus a high standard of firefighting equiptment is largerly due to his efforts and the local community is a lot better off because of his untiring work on our behalf.
An informal farewell at Brogo hall will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 2pm until late.
Leonie should be also be thanked for her efforts in backing Trevor with her radio work and organising crews when callout is in progess.
Laurie Jarvis said losing Trevor as captain was like cutting his right arm off.
