She is Sarah Hannebery whose role is to assist small businesses access business information and advise on government assistance programs in the SEACC region.
Ms Hannebery is a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and has experience working in large companies and with local communities on economic development projects.
Returning to the district from Melbourne a couple of years ago, Ms Hannebery was involved in starting and growing a small business while enjoying networking with local businesses.
"Running a small business can sometimes be challenging and it often helps to talk to someone who can point you in the right direction," Ms Hannebery said.
"Or even better, join a small networking group who share similar issues.
"This is what we aim to offer - support, networking, up to date information and answers to small business issues."
Ms Hannebery can provide confidential information and support to small business operators across a range of government programs and services on areas such as starting a new business, staff recruiting and issues, e-business and general business management.
"I would also love to hear from anyone starting or working in a home-based business or any women in the region interested to join our Women in Business networking group for informal, relaxed and informative get togethers'" she said.
