James does the job

14/01/2005 9:09:26 AM
BEGA Swimming Club member James Grant competed in his first State Championships at Homebush last weekend and achieved great results.

Having broken two records when qualifying for State, James had set himself a huge task to try and improve further on his times, but improve he did.

Barney's first swim was the 400m free, in which he placed 13th against tough competition.

The 200m IM again saw him produce a terrific result with a PB.

The 200m freestyle was a huge swim for James who took more than two seconds off his time.

He then continued on with the job in the 200m backstroke, again blitzing his old time by more than two seconds. All up a a well deserved result.
