Division 1 was very competitive with a win to Hardwire Automotive (Dick Blacka) over Tarra Ford (Norm Jamieson) 35 games to 22.
Dick is handling the number one position quite well, unfortunately, work commitments will take him away for a few weeks and David Foster a new player to Bega will take Dick's position.
The second Division 1 match was a 32/27 game win to the Grand Hotel (Mark Anderson) over Caddey, Searl and Jarman captained by Rod Sirl.
Mark is playing good tennis at the moment and with strong support from Matt Conlan, Pam Eaton and Alistair Clark look to be a big chance for the finals this year.
LJ Hooker Bega (Clinton Peel) proved too strong on the night coming away with a 30/19 game win over Craig Nicholson's Auto-Pro Bega team.
Clinton and Phil Harris (sub) were the stars on the night winning their three sets over David Foster (sub) and Paul Blacka.
DIVISION 2
Division 2 appears to be a very evenly contested competition with close results each week between the nine teams participating in this group.
Malcolm Clune is leading his WM Rixon Auctioneers team very well and came away with another win over Bega Amcal Chemist led by Peter Newton.
Malcolm's team won 29/24, which was not decided until the last set was played.
Bruno Johansen led his RW Miller Constructions team to a hard fought 29/27 game win over Barbecues Galore under the leadership of Sam Deighton.
Jon Tapper's Bega Newsagency team had to perform at their best to defeat Frank Foley's Kothe & Partners team 30 games to 27.
Rob Whitford subbed up for Frank Foley and supported the team throughout the match winning two of his sets on the night.
The last match of Division 2 was a comfortable 32/18 game win to Ian Burn's Bega Mower Centre over MGM Panelbeaters led by Chris Burns.
DIVISION 3
The first match in Division 3 produced the best tennis of the round with Margaret Deighton's Bega Village Motor Inn defeating David Slow's Bega Pizza team 3 sets 30 games to 3 sets 29 games.
All players put in their best efforts for their teams with Margaret and Chandima Lyanage having a good 6/2 win to get them home with the one game win.
Trish Sly led her Griffith Tierney Solicitors team to a hard fought 31/26 game win over Hayes Haulage captained by Fiona Ubrihien.
Trish, Gerrard McGilvray and Alison Foley played well for the winning team with Donna Gilmour and Adam Blacka playing improved games for Fiona's team.
Carolyn Lucas led Momsen Motors to a comfortable win over Ray Spencer's Highway Store and Rob Whitford's Bega Valley Pets & Aquarium defeated Chris Sly's Top Video team.
DIVISION 4
Division 4, played on Thursday nights in conjunction with Division 3, finished with one very even match and two runaway wins.
Alison Coman's Rodney Griffin Pty Ltd. team finally lost a match when they were defeated 25/24 by Phil Steward's PJ O'Brien Electronics team.
Phil has made a comeback to tennis to replace an injured player and it appears he could lead the team to the finals.
James Dedman subbed for Mark Zonneveld and led Geoff Metzler & Associates to a comfortable 36/14 win over David Scott Electricals captained by Andrew Clark.
The last match of Division 4 was a comfortable win to Steve Jennings Mobil Bega over the Serena Brace-Clark led Malcolm Slater Pty Ltd. team.
