Fisk and Nagle had just one week of glory in A Grade as they slipped back again to fourth place one point behind Chemworld.
These two teams will both be battling desperately for points over the final two weeks.
It was a slightly different story in C Grade where Bega Pets & Aquariums replaced Top Video with a decisive win over them this week.
Top Video has been entrenched in the top three from very early on and appears to have slipped at the wrong end of the season.
In B Grade Bega Newsagency sent out a warning by trouncing E I Pell, now that they have dispensed with Mick Haigh they look a far stronger combination and if the unbeaten John Stylianou can lead them into the finals they look unstoppable. The confident (cocky?) Kellow Parbery team in D Grade were shaken this week by main rival Momsen Motors in what could either be a confidence shaker or a handy wake up call depending on how they react.
The Highway Store is another team who should not be discounted in D Grade as they are a very even side with a several players in Rebecca Turner, Ian Powell and Teagan Hazelgrove who are all improving as the finals approach.
There were some excellent matches on A Grade courts this week - Zip
Summerell struck form with a rush to beat Tony Hanscombe, Col Ferguson restored some male pride when he beat Peta Tatnell and Danny Sherlock extracted himself from "Galeano Cup" contention leaving a battle between Robert Lucas and Dennis Curtis for the honour.
Dennis played several matches this week in a vain attempt to record a win, but brother Tony held him at bay in two tight five setters.
Other good B Grade efforts this week included John "the alphabet" Stylianou who not only continued his undefeated run, he also subbed up to beat Robert Blacker.
Danny Halpin was another player desperate to record a win, but he had two narrow-losses also - the first to Les Went, then a five set loss to Michelle
Fitzclarence after leading 2/1.
Janelle Sturt rounded off a miserable night for the David Scott Electrical team, being one of three in that team to lose in five, Dick Ruse had his customary 0/3 loss to complete the rout.
In C Grade, P J O'Brien's final nail was driven in when they again struggled with substitutes holding back their hopes.
Tim Benson-Taylor put in a great effort for them in taking Peter Nicholson to five but it was too little too late.
Bega Pets and Aquariums beat Top Video after big efforts from David Bolst, Sharlene Smith and Gary Backhouse, while Roz Russell came from two games down to beat Emma Bartlett.
Mr Pizza and Starbunkle fought out a very close night with the difference being a win by Guy Van Bracht against Jane Thelan.
D Grade's Rhonda Crowe has had a tough comp that has led her to seek some coaching from Zip, good to see Rhonda win her first game this week.
Zip is getting results with his coaching of C and D Graders who are keen enough to want to improve.
Teagan Hazelgrove was another to have two wins.
After beating Emma Bethell, Teagan subbed up to beat Rhonda Lane in five.
Jeff Cheers pushed Nathan Umback to five and in the match that decided their teams fate, Chris Reeve held off a strong challenge from Kristie Bramham.
Our undefeated list has not diminished in the past three weeks, with Shawn Kennedy, John Stylianou, Andrew Brand and Kellie Hazelgrove all continuing to dominate.
Shawn has to over come Jeff Row yet, but John, Kellie and Andrew all look good bets to go through.
To all those who have been getting subs (and those that haven't), this week is supper week so take along a plate and use this chance to do some team bonding or soul searching for those who are out of contention already.
Top Video "Player of the week" is John Stylianou after his impressive effort to beat Robert Blacker, but I also hope this draws the grader's attention.
