9:16 AM AEDT | LOCAL surfer Kai Otton has made a promising start to the 2010 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) tour by finishing equal fifth in the season opener. Otton caused a major upset when he defeated reigning ASP world champion and fellow Australian Mick Fanning during the fourth round of the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast last Thursday.
