Selections were held over four days and culminated in a skills and drills weekend, which was conducted by Rhonda Stephenson, head coach of the South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) netball squad.
Rhonda is a Level 2 accredited coach with great experience, having previously coached the NSW Under 21s team and been assistant coach of the Hunter Jaegars in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy competition.
One of the main objectives of this weekend was to assist our local representative coaches in further developing their own abilities.
These included learning how to manage training sessions, acquiring new drills and improving players' techniques.
The players were put through a range of drills that tested agility, footwork, ball handling skills and decision making.
Congratulations to the following players who have been selected in the 2008 teams.
