10 Apr 12 | THURSDAY’S inter-school cricket encounter between two Bega High School teams was played in the spirit of the occasion. Lots of laughs and friendly banter could be heard around Bega Valley Fields as the annual Bill Adilide Cup match was held in honour of the teacher, who died in 2005 from cancer.
Dale Finucane's a 'Dog on the brink
05 Apr 12 | BEGA’S Dale Finucane is on the brink of making his NRL debut. Finucane, 20, spoke to the BDN this week as he aimed to break through for his first game in the top grade with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. After being promoted from the Toyota Cup squad during the off season, Finucane has pushed closer to selection over the past fortnight. The lock forward has been named 18th man in the past two matches and Finucane said he was looking forward to making that next step.
Bega 'Chicks' ready to roll
05 Apr 12 | A GROUP of Bega “Chicks” can’t wait to get onto the rugby league paddock. The Bega Roosters ladies’ league-tag side has been training well and is ready for the 2012 season. The team, to be known as the Bega Chicks, is coached by Andrew Badullovich and his wife Trudi is captain. Trudi said the side was prepared for round one.

27 Mar 12 | TATHRA captain Adam Blacka tore through a hapless Merimbula batting line-up to lead his Maroons to premiership glory on Sunday. 23 Mar 12 | THE Tathra Maroons will battle for their second title in two months this weekend. The side will host Merimbula Knights in the final of the Far South Coast Cricket Association two-day Premier League competition.
