The Zone will be an engaging monthly section dedicated to Bega Valley’s youth, complete with the latest in music trends, student profiles, giveaways and interactive blogs.

“We’re very excited about The Zone,” BDN editor Ben Smyth said.

“Young tech-savvy readers are sure to get a kick out of the plans we have for this new section, which will include plenty of interaction utilising Twitter, Facebook and specially designed QR codes.

“The Zone will be a constantly evolving area within the paper and will appeal to those who are now turning to their smartphones or tablets for up-to-the-minute news,” he said.

“Tying in our website and social media presence is going to make The Zone a fantastic way for our younger readers to engage with their paper.”

The Zone revolution begins this Friday and will appear on a monthly basis.
