Festival fun!

20 Nov, 2009 09:31 AM
THE streets of Bega are set to transform this weekend with the first Bega Valley Festival.

Today and tomorrow morning, businesses in the town are having a huge sale.

And to have some fun and to make the town come alive, everyone is being asked to dress up in a circus theme.

Businesses are taking part and those coming to town are encouraged to do the same.

Chamber of Commerce president Robert Hayson said he hoped this event would “follow the success of other dress up sales when everyone got into the spirit of the occasion”.

Natasha Lloyd Jones, advertising manager at Bega District News said there will be a spruiker tomorrow morning as well as entertainment in the street.

“There’ll be prizes, great bargains, lots of fun and an exciting festival; it will be a wonderful time,” she said.
